Jonny grabbed the bull by the horns from the kick off and took an early chip lead with an exhibition-style show of power poker. Rarely having to show his cards Jonny was owning the table for the first few levels, he made a couple of class calls as well catching out me and Gav with our Ace high,s v his not much.

With pizza on its way and buy ins finished, I thought I,d be first out when Jonny put me to the test, effectively putting me all in after I had raised with AQ and he,d reraised on a q j 5 board.
After much deliberating ( and much complaining from the room for the amount of time I took) I made the call and was happy to see johny had the same hand for a split pot.
Joe had been creating a lot of the early action, but the cards were being a bit cruel and he was getting stiffed by the kicker card in quite a few hands, he was down to around the 10bb level when he shipped all his chips under the gun, Nigel called the bet with pocket jacks v joes A8. the ace never showed and Joe was first dusted.
Next for the ejector seat was Jonny, can,t mind the exact hand, but he did lose most of his stack v Gav when his open ended flush draw, failed to get there and he never quite recovered
Next out was the host, gav must have been reading Gus Hansens book as he again went for the agressive approach with liberal use of the ALL IN button. Gav had been leaking chips since the start but, built it back up to a decent stack, largely due to the hand with Jonny. he came unstuck when I called his all in bet after the flop with my middle pair + 2nd nut flush draw with 2 cards to come. gav flipped a lower heart draw over and nothing untoward happened so he was next to be busted.
Nigel was next to be toasted, I,d been running good and when I raised with a suited 8 6 I wasn,t exactly delighted to have to make the call when he shipped his chips in, but as it wasn,t much more I made the call and it was a surprise to see that II was ahead of Nigels 5,7 connectors. No bingo,s and the 8 high took it down.
The 2nd game followed a similar pattern, except Gav was first to hit the rail, when I flopped a set of queens v his AJ on an ace high board.
Can,t remember much else About the game except that I was running unbelievably well so took that one down as well.
