Game 6 - The Really Big Big Game

Billed as the big one - This was trully ...the big one.
Ten players jammed into Casino Granton. It was hot, it was intense, we had fire alarms, our 1st ever vegan pizza, Dave,s insanely hot sauce, a mountain of bank notes and 100 bottles of beer waiting to be consumed.
A host of extra Special guests including -  in what may be their only ever appearance - Ricky and Alan "alan".
Also along side the regulars we had rare appearances from Mexican furniture tycoon Steven and from the king of the stringbets. Jonny string

The full Line up Ricky, Steven, Alan, Andy V, Finchy,  Stringbet, Nick, Gav, Nigel and Fray.

As ever, the memories are a bit hazy and hand accuracy is likely to be fairly low.
This was looking like it was going to be a lively game and it burst into life on the very 1st hand when The Finches Kings came cropper to my flush for a decent sized pot right off the kick off...but it was Gav who was the first to take a real stinger when he dusted half his stack, when the Finches two pair cracked his top pair.
Fast forward a bit and Steve and Ricky got involved in a pot of cosmic proportions, the betting was pretty heavy up until the river. With the pressure mounting and the mass of chips in the middle getting higher and higher, we were all on tenterhooks waiting for the river card....when the fire alarm went off....and then the two players took off for a fag in the back garden.....
after a lengthy delay, the show was back on the road, and with all the players back, the river card was dealt, and I think after a couple of stringy looking bets Ricky took down  the massive pot, with I think a set v 2 pair.
Not long after and Alan "alan" won an absolutely massive pot from Fraz and Steven and was looking good for a money finish at one point, as was Ricky, with both novice players showing no fear, but both eventually faded as did Johny, even normally rock solid Gav was starting to show signs of cracking under the strain.
Earlier in the night Gav decided to turn up the heat and decided the only way to play was either to fold or to shove all in.
It worked a couple of times, but as the table started to get curious about the strength of his hands, he eventually toasted his 1st buy in with a couple of rash moves as the czech lager took grip.

After reloading for another 30k Gav was again being abit heavy on the All In button and as he had been caught shoving all in with shite previous - I fancied I might be good with my monster K7ss, so I called his all-in bet, Steven who was behind me also clearly didn,t put Gav on much - or me for that matter - as he also called off all of his chips with his powerhouse 10- 3 off suit.
Gav flipped over Ace rag and the flop delived a timely 7. Suck out pour moi.
This is poker at its highest level.
Two players dusted.
Not long after and A load of folk got busted about the same time, I can,t mind too much detail. I remember Finchy. Fray and someone else getting their kings busted, and Andy V had a deep run till his pocket Aces came a cropper to some nonsense hand, from someone.
Eventually the last 3 left was me, Fray and Nigel.
Frazer started as early chip leader but lost a couple of big hands inc one of the ones with kings and started running out of chips, so he ended he up as the bubble boy when he busted in 3rd when his KQ got out flopped by Nigels Jack 9, I remembered Fray as busting out with Ace 7 v AK, but maybe that was a different hand - no one seems sure.
Head up was with me and Nige, I don,t think it went on for long, I mind the last hand, but thats about it. I raised with j7, Nigel called , flop came something like 10, 7, 2. Nigel shoves all in, I call and he flips over a king 2 for bottom pair, the last cards don,t change nothing though so game over.

No league points up for grabs on this one, but a perfectly hosted night as ever.

No devils hand appearance.
