Season 2 - Game 2. Joe Wins Marathon Session

Season 2 Game 2 Champion

The 2nd game of the new season was hosted at the subbuteo themed Largo Heights casino and was attended by 8 players.

It was a late late bruising encounter.

Martin busted out fairly early after going super aggressive early on, and ended up re-entering twice, along with Gav, as the all-in button was getting some heavy use early doors.


After Martins demise we never lost another player until around 1am when Andy got busted by I think Gogs.

Both players hit top pair but Andy,s kicker came in 2nd and the host was toast. 

The remaining 6 players ground out a good few levels of poker before Nigel was eventually next to go, his A 10 finishing in 2nd place to Frazers pocket Jacks.

Joe probably made the call of the night after calling Gav's river bet with Ace High. Gav mucked faced down and had the impression of a man caught with his fingers in the jar. Shortly after this, he exited in particularly cruel fashion, as his all in bet was so small, that Gogs was obliged to call with any two. This he did and his 9,2 off suit took out Gavs over cards.

Gruelling Session

I was next to hit the rail when Joe called my All In bet with J6 hh, this spanked my QJ when the heart on the river completed the flush for him.
A tactical blunder by Gogs led to him make a call for all his chips with I think J3 off, as he was unaware of the 2nd place prize pool, and was prepared to get knocked out just to put an end to this poker endurance test. Joe flips AQ and the  Ace Q held and it was down to 2 players.
Heads up was relatively short with Joe emerging victorious over Frazer to replace Nigel in 1st place at the top of the league, when Frazers 73 offsuit failed to improve v Joe's AJ.

Nigel beat Ace 7 with Ace 2
I beat Ace Jack with 10 - 2 off.
Gogs 9,2 offsuit was enough to send Gav home.
Gav busted K 10 with QJ
Joe dusted my qj with his j 6.

Andy scoops the biggest 666 jackpot to date, a cool £32 after flopping trip sixes. It very nearly never happening after Andy attempting to muck his cards before the eagle eyed Mr Brown spotted that he'd flopped the big one.
